Das barocke Haus
Das erste Burger Rathaus wurde in der Zeit der städtischen Selbstverwaltung 1224 im romanischen Baustil erbaut. Heute sind nur noch die massiven Feldsteinmauern im Grundriss des Kellers vorhanden.
Das historische Rathaus, welches heute in einem leuchtenden Weiß und Gelb erstrahlt, wurde um 1550 gebaut. Bei einer dritten Umgestaltung 1702 erhielt das Rathausgebäude seine barocken Akzente. Schließlich wurde es 1893 um das dritte Stockwerk erhöht.
Im großen Rathaussaal befindet sich eine Nachbildung des ältesten Wappens der Stadt. Heute beherbergt das Haus u.a. das Burger Standesamt.

The baroque house
The first town hall in Burg was built in the Romanesque style in 1224 during the period of the architectural style. Today, only the massive fieldstone walls in the ground plan of the cellar remain. The historic town hall, which today is painted in bright white and yellow, was built around 1550. The building received its baroque accents during a third remodeling in 1702, finally, in 1893, a third floor was added.In the large town hall hall is kept a replica of the oldest coat of arms of the city. Today, the building houses, among other things, the registry office of Burg.
